Dr. Bazilus completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University, where he graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.S. in Business with an emphasis in Chemistry. He received his DDS from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and completed an Advanced General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. During his residency, Dr. Bazilus honed his skills in, dental implant surgery, wisdom teeth extraction, IV sedation, and complex oral surgery.

As an AEGD resident at the VA Hospital, Dr. Bazilus underwent comprehensive I.V. sedation and oral surgical training on healthy, as well as medically complex veterans.  His passion for IV sedation and oral surgery came during this time.  As a result, he has decided to focus his scope of practice on providing IV sedation and surgical services for dental practices throughout the Phoenix metro area.

His postgraduate residency sets him apart because of the enormous commitment and considerable talent it required. Dr. Bazilus was awarded the Chancellors’ Award and the Harry M. Paul Award during his training. A vested part of the dental community, Dr. Bazilus is a member of many prestigious dental organizations.

Dr. Bazilus returned to Phoenix in 2007 to take advantage of the activities available in Arizona, especially hunting, hiking, and fishing. He also loves to golf, surf, and to travel internationally with his family. Dr. Bazilus places a high priority on community service. He’s a volunteer with several charitable organizations in the Phoenix area, including the Boys and Girls Club and Give Kids a Smile. His true passion is providing dentistry to underserved communities throughout the world. Dr. Bazilus has lead and has been a part of numerous dental missions providing charitable dentistry in Honduras, Belize, Veracruz and Sinaloa, Mexico.
